Estate

The total of all assets, property, and legal rights owned by a person at the time of their death. This includes real estate, personal property, investments, bank accounts, and any other valuables. The estate may be subject to probate, depending on how assets are titled and the total value of the estate. Some assets, like those held in trust or with designated beneficiaries, may pass outside of probate.
